The Royal lineage of Hariharpur Estate

Introduction: A Rich History Rooted in Legacy

Situated near Darbhanga, Bihar, and bordered by Madhubani, Jhanjharpur, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, and Nepal, the settlement area of Hariharpur spans 1081 hectares. This area, a part of the Terai region near the Bagmati River, boasts a rich history influenced by its importance during British India. The estate, which includes villages like Hariharpur, Singhwada, Bisfi, and Ladha Biden, is connected to several key landmarks, such as the Katra at Chandni Chowk in Delhi, the Haveli in Panipat, and the Darjeeling Bungalow.

Family Tree: Tracing the Roots

Late Raja JP Singh

Late Raja JP Singh, a beloved and dedicated figure, was raised as an only child after being orphaned at the age of 8. Despite the hardships, he excelled academically and was recognized for his brilliance. In his youth, he received a British degree, a significant achievement for the time. After inheriting the estate, he worked tirelessly for its development, including the construction of the Laxmi Niwas Palace, a model of earthquake-resistant architecture. He also held key positions in several banks and played a pivotal role in the All-India Football Foundation.

Late Raja VP Singh

The eldest son of Raja JP Singh, Late Raja VP Singh, was a man of many talents. Born on November 17, 1934, in Hariharpur, he pursued education at Banaras Hindu University and excelled in various fields, including sports and photography. His leadership and achievements earned him the title of a multifaceted personality. He married Rani Sahib Omvati Devi, and together, they had a son, Kr. Rohit K Singh, born in 1960.

Raja Rohit Kumar Singh: A Modern Visionary

Raja Rohit Kumar Singh, born on July 20, 1960, is the current custodian of the family legacy. Educated at Colvin Taluqdars’ College and later excelling academically, he embodies the values of his ancestors. His journey in life reflects resilience and determination. Passionate about vintage cars, especially Mercedes and Benz models, he is a member of various heritage motoring clubs. His contributions also extend to humanitarian efforts, including relief work during floods in Bihar, Tripura, Assam, and West Bengal.

Late Rani Dr. Seema Kumar Singh: A Woman of Impact

Rani Dr. Seema Kumar Singh, born and raised in Darjeeling, was an accomplished scholar with degrees from NB University and Delhi University. She served as the Director of the School of Business Administration in Darbhanga and worked tirelessly for the welfare of the underprivileged. Her humanitarian work earned her the Bharat Shiksha Ratan Award. Despite facing personal tragedies, including the loss of her beloved husband, she continued to contribute positively to society.

Kr. Aditya Vikram Singh: The Next Generation of Excellence

The son of Raja Rohit Kumar Singh and Rani Dr. Seema Kumar Singh, Kr. Aditya Vikram Singh has continued the family tradition of excellence. He holds a B.Tech degree in Information Technology and has made notable contributions to the family’s construction and business ventures. His passion for business, coupled with his academic background, makes him a rising star in the industry.
